Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee introduced agricultural
pension for farmers above 60 years. From the Department of Agriculture, they
were given 750 rupees per month. That amount has been increased to one thousand
taka. The panchayat samiti will fix some of the farmers who will get it. The
list was scheduled to be held in September. But not all the panchayat societies
were formed in the board because the list was not formed. To finish that work,
the day was extended by 12 oct. During that time, the Panchayat Samiti will
hand over the list to the Agriculture Department. According to the list of
panchayat samiti, senior farmers will be paid one thousand rupees per month as
pension. The money can be withdrawn in the bank account of the farmers.
